Answer |
Why the cat and kittens? | We needed a picture to make the site look interesting. Tech stuff doesn't look interesting, but people love cat videos. We asked AI "In the style of Van Gogh, show a mother cat teaching her kittens about online safety". |
What audiences do you target? | Young people, old people, and those with limited English are priorities, and reaching mums is a good way to make contact. |
What is your website for? | It's there to signpost good information about using the online world without risking your mental health or your money. |
How do you cover your expenses? | We look for funding from grants or other sources, so that we can offer our services free of charge to the groups we work with. |
Why don't you produce much content of your own? | It would be too expensive, take too much time, and the material would quickly go out of date. We'd rather find good stuff from organisations with the resources to do it really well, and point our audience to that. |
What's your political position? | As an organisation we have none. We were founded with specific goals and involving ourselves in politics would be a distraction. |
